The Filipino American Association of Portland & Vicinity, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization that serves as the bridge and venue for Filipino Americans in their assimilation and integration into the societal mainstream as good and law-abiding citizens; to prepare our youths for future leadership roles while simultaneously providing for the retention of their rich social, cultural heritage and legacies.

The Filipino-American kids are joining the Junior Rose Parade this coming June 4,2014 at the Hollywood District. Everyone will wear Filipino costume as part of the Philippine Independence Celebration of the FAAPVI. Chair person Lynn Dixon still need kids to join this parade. Please call her at (503) 309-5996 and Mila Castro at (503) 939-7364 ***Fil-Am Young Philippine Princess*** Five Pretty Little Girls are vying for the title of the Fil-Am Young Philipine Princess: The coronation and beauty pageant will be held at the Fil-Am Center - 8917 SE Stark St. Portland, OR 97216 this coming June 14, 2014. Young FAYA members will present cultural dances. Prepaid ticket cost for a dinner, dance and the coronation are as follows:
16 years old & older --- $15.00
6 to 15 years old --- $ 10.00
1-5 years old --- FREE
Additioal $5.00 if paid at the door.
